Mining · Oil & gas · Heavy industry
From field work
to final invoice.
Pit & Rig connects daily tickets, approvals, equipment, people, and compliance in one platform built for mining, oil and gas, and heavy industry.
The problem
Your operation should not run on paper, spreadsheets, and memory.
Paper LEM books
Triplicate carbons, coffee rings, lost copies
Spreadsheets
Twelve versions of LEM_tracker_FINAL_v3.xlsx
Email chains
Approvals buried forty replies deep
Text messages
Rates negotiated in a group chat
Whiteboards
Erased before anyone photographed them
Month-end scramble
Disputed tickets surfacing 45 days late
One source of truth. From the field to the office.
The platform
One core sample of the operation.
Like a drill core, every layer connects to the one beneath it. Select a layer to see what runs through it.
The LEM engine. Labour, equipment, and material captured once, priced from the PO rate sheet, signed in the field.
- Labour, equipment & material lines
- Rate-sheet auto pricing
- On-device field signatures
- Tamper-evident ticket hashing
How it works
From tailgate to invoice. Without losing the thread.

Northgate Pit — Day works
Product interface shown with sample data
Frontline first
Software only works when the field uses it.
Pit & Rig was designed on a tailgate in northern Alberta, not in a boardroom. If a hand can't fill a ticket in the time it takes the crew to load up, we've failed.
Built for gloves
Large touch targets, minimal typing, saved crews and iron one tap away.
Works in the dead zone
Draft tickets hold on the device and sync the moment coverage returns. [Offline mode — roadmap]
Photos attached
Snap the load slip or the broken part; it rides with the ticket forever.
Signature on glass
The client rep signs the day on your phone before the trucks roll out.
[ Replace: photography — foreman with phone at truck tailgate, haul trucks or drill rig behind, golden hour. Real crew, real site, no stock handshakes. ]

For the office
See the operation before the report arrives.
Every approved ticket posts against its PO the moment it's approved — not at month-end. Clients watch commitment build in real time, catch overruns before they happen, and never again learn about a blown PO from an invoice.
Contractors see the same numbers. One shared ledger means the month-end reconciliation call simply stops happening.
Industries
The pit & the rig & everything between.
One ticket format, one approval flow, one ledger — whether the day was spent on a bench, a lease, or a right-of-way.
Mining
- Open-pit & underground
- Quarries & aggregates
- Processing plants
- Reclamation programs
Oil & gas
- Drilling & completions
- Production & pipelines
- Facilities & turnarounds
- Remote field services
Heavy industry
- Civil & earthworks
- Forestry & utilities
- Industrial maintenance
- Transportation
Security & reliability
Built for critical operations. Protected like one.
These tickets are money and legal record. The platform treats them that way.
Tamper-evident tickets
Every signed ticket is hashed (SHA-256). Edits after signature void it and force a re-sign — the document your client signed is provably the document you invoice.
Server-enforced approvals
Ticket status can only move through the API. Approvals run in atomic transactions with the PO drawdown — no race conditions, no client-side shortcuts.
Two-sided tenant isolation
Contractors see their own work. Clients see only the connections they're party to. Role-based access enforced at the database rule layer, not just the UI.
Audit everything
Rate changes, PO amendments, approvals, invoice generation — every financially meaningful action is logged with who, when, and before/after values.
2FA on privileged access
Staff and admin portals sit behind two-factor authentication. Sessions expire; invite tokens are single-use and time-boxed.
Encrypted & backed up
Encryption in transit and at rest, continuous backups, and strict content-security policies. [SOC 2 / ISO 27001 status — insert when certified.]

Getting started
Start small. Scale across the operation.
Discover
Your POs, rate structures, clients, and approval chain — mapped in one call.
Configure
Rate sheets loaded, crews built, clients invited. Days, not months.
Deploy
Start with one PO or one crew. Paper runs in parallel until you trust it.
Adopt
If the foremen use it without being chased, it's working. That's the metric.
Improve
Add clients, add sites, turn on invoicing — the platform grows with the operation.
Get started
Your operation is already generating the data.
Pit & Rig makes it useful.
Replace paper LEM books and month-end scrambles with one platform built for the realities of mining, energy and industrial work.
7 days free, no card required. Load your rate sheet, write live tickets, get one signed — decide after you've run a real day through it.
