IF YOU GET STUCK
My invitation is expired or for another email.

Ask the sender for a fresh invitation to the email you use. Signing in with another address will not transfer the invitation.

I cannot see the same menus as my coworker.

Menus depend on company type, role and plan. Ask your owner or admin to check your access before creating another account or organization.

Complete chapter

  1. Start with your invitation

Joining an existing team or accepting a client connection? Open the email invitation first. Its link carries the company and access details. Field crew signing a tailgate QR can use the crew sign-on chapter instead.

What to look for: You can see which organization invited you before accepting.

  2. Use the invited email

Sign in or create your account with the exact email address on the invitation. If a different account is already signed in, switch accounts before accepting. A teammate should join the existing company, not create a second one.

What to look for: The signed-in email matches the invitation recipient.

  3. Check where you landed

Accept the invitation and confirm the company and your available menus. Only starting a brand-new organization? Use company setup, choose contractor or client, enter the company details and review the terms. An invited client organization may be guided through setup by its invitation.

What to look for: You are working in the intended organization with the access your team assigned.

If you get stuck

02 / SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE

A few words
you’ll see.

LEM / daily ticket

The day’s labour, equipment and materials, with the work details and sign-offs that support billing.

PO · purchase order

The commercial record for the work, including its rate sheet and any authorized value.

AFE

Authorization for expenditure. An identifier for authorized spending that can be associated with the work and its POs.

FLHA / JSA

Field level hazard assessment / job safety analysis. The task’s hazards, controls and related safety record.

Pending vs. approved

Pending work awaits a decision. Approved work has passed approval and contributes to approved consumption. Pending work still adds exposure.

Allocation

The portion of a client’s Control budget assigned to a particular contractor and scope.

Contingency

Budget held back by the client. It is excluded from the funds available for contractor allocation.

Soft-closed vs. locked

A soft-closed period restricts posting and can be reopened. A locked period cannot be reopened.
